The Fifth Annual Manor Heritage Festival held April 27-28 provided a variety of music, great food from Ramos Restaurant, vendors selling a variety of items and business information booths promoting the services they provide.

The Chamber of Commerce sponsors the annual event to promote Manor, Manor ISD Fine Arts students and to provide free family entertainment.

The Friday night street dance provided great music from Mia Music and Kenny Orts and No Chance Band.  Mia is a ten-year-old “up and coming musical star” who lives in Manor and Orts is a native Manorite who graduated from Manor High School and provided the Friday night entertainment for the third year in a row. During Saturday, festival goers were able to watch and listen to the performances of Juan Diaz, Ricardo Cabrera, Camp Gladiator, Manor New Tech Middle School 6th Grade Choir, Dancin’ Jazzi, Manor Middle School 6th Grade Choir, Oak Meadows Elementary Owlets Dance Company and the Manor High School Band.  

The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the hard-working volunteers who helped make the Festival a great success. Volunteers included Nancy Boatright, Ben Boatright, LaTonya Sherrill, Mary Brown, Royce Avery, Sean Donnelly, Kevin Winslett, Tim Schultz, Debbie Young, Tom Bolt, Canyon Franzetti, Anne Weir, Kelly Howard, Robert Weir, Davina Merkel, Tim Schultz, Lillie Arnold, Ted Price and JJ Lowe. Special thanks are also extended to the City of Manor’ Streets and Parks Department for their helping set up the vendor booths, the water barricades and conducting clean up at the end of the Festival.  

Thank yous are also extended to Emergency Services District #12 crew members for filling the water barricades.  Members of the Manor Police Department were invaluable throughout the entire festival by providing security as well as helping with the setup and tear down of equipment at the end of the Festival.  The Police Department’s recently acquired Command Center was set up on-site in case it was needed. The Chamber would also like to thank the following sponsors who provided financial assistance to help underwrite the festival.
